This site has consistently stated the lack of accountability in State Fund operations and policy.

In the beginning of all this, the purpose was to expose one man's story to the public, to expose the wrongs that have been done to him and his family as a result of a system gone wrong. What started with one man's story quickly turned into thousands of story's from across the state. All watching, and all with the same stories. Hundreds have contacted me, all with the same story hoping to shock me but now, there is little now that can surprise me. There are people out there, in this country dying. Sentenced to death because through no fault of their own, working citizens of this country, no longer considered' productive citizens'. Too tired, too hurt, and sometimes too medicated to fight.

We met with a nurse practitioner that was horribly injured delivering a baby into this world. Barbara Clark who finally had to resort to using medicare to do the surgery that would save her life. While she still is in need of care, and will be the rest of her life, she is still waiting for justice and went the route of the legal system that has taken her life savings and now her second home leaving her homeless. But still she fights.

What does that have to do with the general public?
Your tax dollars are having to be used by those injured to save their lives, and those tax dollars pay for what the insurance company should be paying. It comes out of your pocket till Medicare can reclaim their money from the insurance companies. This should really piss you off. It's called cost shifting and continues to drain the medicare funds. Some injured at work use their own insurance to try to pay for their injuries. That means that your premiums for insurance can go up. All because the people, insurance companys, are not doing their job and now the burden falls on you.

If you are a business person, then you pay at random what the insurance company decides you should for work comp protection that your employees will never see. It comes out of your pocket and still, your employee will not be taken care of if there is a serious injury. The average waiting time for a surgery is now two years.
I have met people that live in storage containers because they have lost their homes and have no where to go. I have seen people in such pain because they could not get pain medication after SB899 was passed that took their own lives leaving behind a family that now has to cope with their loss.

Penal Code 550(b) and Insurance Code 1871.4 make it a crime to provide false, misleading and erroneous data related to work comp claims (regardless if a loss never takes place).

Nearly $40 million collected for the Workers' Compensation Fraud Account (see Labor Code 62.6) is allocated to California district attorneys and the DOI Fraud Unit; this money is paid by employers. Self insured plans (like the Adventist hospital chain) pay the funds to the Office of Self Insured Plans (OSIP). The Adventist hospital chain is therefore not investigated as this would be "biting the hand that feeds them." (see L. A. Times article Public Fraud Unit Favors Those Who Privately Fund It, Aug. 6, 2000).

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST STATE OFFICIALS
Lawsuit brings rampant state corruption to light.

ROLE REVERSAL: The State Fund and its lawyers always insist that the courts strictly apply the technicalities of the workers’ compensation rules no matter how unfair that might be to an injured worker. Now State Fund is asking not to have federal criminal statues applied to them for their white collar corruption and mail fraud. I DON'T THINK SO!
